Mendes Wood DM

Mendes Wood DM is a multinational commercial art gallery. As part of my role in the Artlogic design studio, I developed a fully bespoke website on the Artlogic CMS, aligning with the gallery’s refined visual identity and curatorial approach.

Approach & Solution

• Built a custom website using Python, SCSS, and JavaScript within the Artlogic CMS framework.
• Created bespoke modular feature panels tailored to the client’s content needs.
• Designed with a minimal black-and-white colour scheme, ensuring precise typography and spacing to reflect their gallery style guide.
• Developed subtle animations, including a top-left logo animation on page load and idle-triggered leaf animations, evoking the greenery of their Brazilian gallery.
• Centred the site’s design around the gallery’s artists and exhibitions while incorporating multiple calls to action for mailing list signups and data capture.
