Galerie Thomas Schulte is a Berlin-based commercial art gallery, housed in the landmark nineteenth-century Tuteur House in Berlin-Mitte. As part of my role in the Artlogic design studio, I developed a bespoke website on Artlogic CMS that reflects the gallery’s architectural and typographic identity.

This project was completed in the capacity of an employee at Artlogic.

Approach & Solution

  • Designed the site’s layout around the tripartite display window of the gallery’s nine-metre-high corner space, using arches as a recurring motif.
  • Built the website on Artlogic CMS with multiple bespoke feature panels to enable creative, playful layouts.
  • Followed the gallery’s exacting typographic guidelines, using typography to create depth and improve content hierarchy — addressing a key issue from the previous website.
  • Delivered a highly customisable system that gives the gallery the tools to present their exhibitions and artists in a distinctive and dynamic way.

Technologies Used

Python, SCSS, JavaScript, Artlogic CMS, Modular Design, Custom UI Components
