Drum&BassArena

Drum&BassArena is a record label and blog dedicated to drum and bass music. As part of my role at AEI, I designed and developed a new website to align with their recent brand refresh, bringing a modern feel while staying true to their iconic yellow and black identity.

Approach & Solution

• Designed a clean, minimal interface inspired by Swiss design principles, complementing the Helvetica typeface.
• Developed a custom WordPress theme with backwards compatibility for over a decade of content.
• Integrated homepage and sidebar widgets to showcase the latest uploads, releases, and merchandise.
• Implemented an automated system to scrape YouTube uploads and post them on the blog.
• Created a modular layout, giving content editors the flexibility to adjust the homepage as needed.
• Built custom ACF and Gutenberg blocks to enable the team to create customisable landing pages.
