Aylesbury
Skateboards

Aylesbury Skateboards is an new skate shop which opened in March of 2015 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamsire. It is a child company of BuyBits and was created to fill Aylesbury’s skate shop shaped void and attempt to revive the local skate scene. The store is run and managed by a friend, Aaron Horne and myself. As a co-manager I have been involved in every step of the store’s birth, from name and logo creation to setting up the physical and online stores.

I have been in charge of the front-end of the online store. It is built using Magento and has been a great oppertunity for me to learn how to use this system and how to edit and maniuplate the themes appearance. We also maintain a wordpress blog for the site as a way to keep customers up to date with the latest news and happenings. Again, I am in charge of the front-end of the blog making sure it is looking good and working smoothly.

Aylesbury Skateboards’ duck logo was created by Rob Hearn. We wanted something bold and eye catching as well as something a bit different. The duck idea was a play on the store’s location, Duck Farm Court, and the famous Aylesbury Duck.
